About Us

Welcome to Missy’s Sweet Shoppe! Missy Gaither, owner and baker, has been running the bakery since 2007. We opened the doors in June of 2022 to our first storefront in downtown Atlanta, IL. We specialize in custom cookies, cupcakes, wedding cakes and birthday cakes. Here at Missy’s Sweet Shoppe, we have banquet rooms available for rent. We would like to personally invite you to stop in for some sweet treats or to go over your custom order ideas, big or small!

After a single bite, he turned around and ordered 3 more chocolate chip cookies for the road. 😁 The cookies were just the right thickness, a little doughy and packed with chocolate chips - just the way I like them. If I had to compare to something someone has already had, I would say they were like Subway cookies only exceedingly better. 😊 Service - Service with a smile. Missy was very sweet, professional, and welcoming. If we ever pass through again, I am looking forward to trying a cupcake or 2 or 3. Atmosphere - I love the retro feel - the cool tile floor and the chrome swivel stools transport you back to another time. Your inner kid comes out, and your worries melt away while that sugary sweetness melts in your mouth. Check her hours and make sure to plan your trip to Atlanta when Missy is open for business. Your only regret will be that you didn't try one of everything while you were there.

We visited this past Memorial Day Saturday. This is a nice, small bakery with extremely good cookies and cakes! The cinnamon rolls were a bit on the sweet side for me, but my kids loved them! When visiting Atlanta on your Route 66 road trip, it is worth stopping by for some sweets.
